An extensive part of Carlo’s training as a Clinical Psychologist was in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which is a form of treatment that essentially encourages changes in the thoughts and behavioral domains of a particular issue while also using relaxation techniques to help to deescalate elevated distress.

Carlo completed a 4 year “Diploma di Specializzazione” in CBT at the School of Cognitive Therapy of Verona, and, previously, a Laurea (Master Degree in Psychology equivalent title) at the University of Bologna. Carlo is currently licensed as a Clinical Psychologist with The College of Psychologists of Ontario, and as a Registered Psychotherapist in Ontario with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. Carlo was licensed as a Psychologist and Psychotherapist in Italy for several years before moving to Canada. Carlo is a member of the Canadian Psychological Association, the Ontario Psychological Association, and the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals.

Carlo works with individual adults providing psychological assessments and treatments for anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, bipolar and mood disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, adjustment, trauma, PTSD, sleep disorders, personality disorders, chronic pain, and grief.

Carlo’s primary goal is to create a comfortable, safe environment where you’ll work together in moving toward your goals.
