About Jessica
Life can be overwhelming at times. Whether you're navigating anxiety, grief, caregiving, relationship challenges, or a significant life transition, having a safe space where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood can make all the difference. My goal is to provide a compassionate, collaborative, and non-judgmental environment where you can explore life's challenges, build on your strengths, and move toward meaningful change.z
I am currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University and hold a Bachelor of Arts in Gerontology with a minor in Psychology. For more than 20 years, I have supported individuals and families navigating dementia, cognitive changes, aging, caregiving, grief, and complex life transitions within healthcare settings. These experiences have deepened my understanding of the emotional impact that illness, loss, and change can have on individuals and the people who care for them, while reinforcing the importance of meeting each person with compassion, curiosity, and respect.
My approach to therapy is grounded in a human-centred philosophy, recognizing that every person's story, experiences, and strengths are unique. I believe the therapeutic relationship is at the heart of meaningful growth, and I work collaboratively with clients to create a space where they feel safe exploring difficult emotions, gaining insight, and discovering their own capacity for healing and resilience.
I work with adults, older adults, families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals experiencing anxiety, stress, grief, relationship challenges, caregiver burnout, life transitions, and the emotional impact of chronic illness or cognitive change.z
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and practice under clinical supervision while completing the final requirements of my master's degree. I am also a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) and serve on the Older Adults and Care Partners Advisory Council with Professional Geriatrics Leadership Ontario (PGLO), contributing to initiatives that advance person-centred care for older adults and their care partners across Ontario.
Whether you're taking the first step toward therapy or returning to it after some time, I would be honoured to walk alongside you. Together, we'll work at a pace that feels right for you, with compassion, curiosity, and respect for your unique experiences and goals.
