About Julie
I am a graduate of Yorkville University’s Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology program. Registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, I also have membership in the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. I serve as Coordinator of the Association for NPD/Psychopathy Survivor Treatment, Research & Education, which focuses on this sub-specialty of domestic abuse and trauma therapy. I am trained in Brainspotting and EMDR, and employ CBT and DBT in my eclectic, person-centred approach toward treating an individual, adult clientele.
I believe that the pain that often precipitates therapy can be an invitation to develop self-awareness, self-compassion and skills to grow past our struggles, to become stronger and happier. As both a psychotherapist and facilitator of therapeutic art workshops, I share my passion for connecting people with meaningful engagement and rich learning opportunities, to enable their personal growth.
