About Sophia

Reaching out for help is not always easy, much less being vulnerable. Creating a space of comfort, where you feel accepted and understood, is imperative to me. I believe in a collaborative and person-centered approach where we work together to create a plan fitted to your strengths, struggles, and needs. I believe in a person’s ability to rewrite their own life story with self-compassion, courage, and social support.

I strive to provide a safe, supportive, and judgment-free environment while offering empathy and validation to all people. As a member of the LGBTQIA2S+ community myself, I have a special interest in helping individuals who are struggling to discover or find acceptance with their sexual orientation and/or gender identity. I have experience working with individuals of all ages and from many different cultural backgrounds. My approach is centered around Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), aimed at encouraging self-reflection so you can explore how thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes influence your feelings and actions.

My goal is to help you build the skills and strategies needed to make positive, impactful changes in your life.
