About the Group

Sleep difficulties can show up in a lot of ways: long sleep onset, frequent wake-ups, early waking, or waking up feeling unrefreshed. When it goes on for weeks or months, it can impact mood, focus, energy, and overall wellbeing.

Why group therapy?

Sleep difficulties can show up in many ways — trouble falling asleep, waking up throughout the night, waking too early, or simply never feeling rested no matter how many hours you spend in bed. When poor sleep goes on for weeks or months, it starts to affect everything: your mood, your focus, your energy, and your ability to show up for the things that matter.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) is one of the most effective, evidence-based approaches for improving sleep — recommended as a first-line treatment before medication by both the American College of Physicians and the Canadian Sleep Society. Rather than masking the problem, CBT-I works by addressing the patterns, habits, and thought cycles that keep sleep difficulties going.

This group is practical, structured, and skills-based. Over six weekly sessions, you'll work with licensed clinicians and a small group of peers (maximum six participants) to build strategies you can start using right away. You don't need a diagnosis or a referral — just a willingness to try a different approach to sleep.
